Presentation

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia has been developing programs to increase the presence and use of the language in the organization for years. Following this route, on the one hand, VI. The BASQUE USE NORMALIZATION PLAN related to the planning period (2018-2022) is in force, and, on the other hand, through FORU DECREE 63/2019, it established the criteria for the use of official languages in the area of activity of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, its autonomous institutions and the public sector of the province.

As specified in the aforementioned plan, the management of a cross-cutting issue such as language will be the responsibility of the organization's representatives and managers, not just the language standardization technician. With this in mind, the Basque Department of the Municipality offers this training on language leadership to people in positions of responsibility in the organization's areas and departments.
